Eye Project
Gravittus Foundation is concerned about the health of underprivileged children studying in Pune Municipal Corporation Schools, especially Eye Healthcare. Thus, considering the need, in the years from 2015 to 2017, Gravittus Foundation organized the Eye healthcare project in association with K. K. Eye Institute (lnlax Budhrani Hospital) and Shikshan Mandal.
The project agreement finalized and the project started from June 2015 onwards and ended on August 2017. Under this project, all 307 schools of the Pune Municipality Corporation were covered and not only eye check-up but further eye treatment was provided including the distribution of eyeglasses. All these services were provided free of cost to the underprivileged children by Gravittus Foundation and K. K. Eye Institute. Thus, this project gave eye healthcare to those who cannot afford the treatment.
“ Under Eye Project, Eye screening of total 78,298 students from 307 PMC schools was done. Eyeglasses were provided to I 062 needy students and Eye surgeries of 41 students were performed successfully. ”
