Helping Hand to the Needy
ADITI GHOLAP 10 year old Aditi is from the dream city Mumbai. She is a versatile dancer and enjoys various dance forms like contemporary, lyrical hip hop, locking popping, Indian folk, jazz, salsa, flamenco and freestyle. Apart from her passion for dancing, Aditi is extremely tech savvy. As per Geeta Maa, at this tender age, she shows the grace of a matured dancer. Gravittus Foundation decided to take all the educational expenses of Aditi into their hands and make sure that she receives proper education and achieve her dreams..”
SHARDA KASBE Mrs. Sharda Kasbe, a woman, who lost her son in an accident and working as a laborer, also fractured her hand while working. Lokmat published her story and in one program, out of compassion, our President, Mrs. Usha Kakade gave her financial help. The woman was really greatful for this help.”
VAIBHAV GAIKWAD Vaibhav Gaikwad, 13 years old child saved life of a 10 year old girl from drowning was felicitated with the hands of Gravittus Foundation’s Founder President, Mrs. Usha Kakade by gifting him cycle. A class 5th Student, Muskan Pathan, fell into the flooding kukadi canal, when vaibhav jumped to save her. Our president appreciated him by saying, ’Instead of just being a spectator, vaibhav took a major step and saved muskan from drowning.’ Vaibhav and his family members were happy with the appreciation received.”
SHIVAJI PARDESHI In first week of October’18 in Pune, one large hoarding collapsed on road injuring many people traveling at that time and also caused deaths too. One family suffered the most is that of Shivaji Pardeshi. Shivaji Pardeshi died out of this incident and his children became orphan after the incident. Considering the crucial situation Gravittus Foundation’s President Mrs. Usha Kakade decided to take Pardeshi’s daughter Samruddhi’s educational responsibility. Our president also consoled their grandmother and greeted the children with compassion.”

BIRLA COUNSELING PROJECT
MPOWER COLLABORATION WITH GRAVITTUS FOUNDATION
We have recently started counseling cells in our PCMC identified schools in association with Mpower, a mental health initiative of Aditya Birla Education Trust. Educational, Psychological, behavioral problems of children will be assessed and will be resolved through the process of one to one counseling of children.
“ The project will be conducted in three phases. In the first phase, school webinar for teachers at PCMC (Pimpri-chinchwad) schools will be organized. In the second step, we will take follow-up with the school teachers, parents and refer needy cases to psychologists. Mpower psychologists will give counseling to the children. In the third step, the referred students will be assessed by Mpower & Gravittus Foundation, both for the sustainable solutions to the cases.”

DRAWING COMPETITIONS
Gravittus Foundation organized Drawing Competitions in 20 Private Unaided schools. Total 4,232 children from 5th to 7th std. participated actively in these competitions. Gravittus Foundation organized competition on issues like Cleanliness drive, Environment protection, Sources of water pollution etc.

Sanman Sevratincha Program
On 25th October 2013, Gravittus Foundation (Formerly-USK Foundation) organized programme called ‘Sanman Sevavratincha’. NGOs who are working for child development were invited for the programme. Padmaja Godbole of Prasanna Autism Centre, Ms. Renu Gavaskar of Eklavya Nyas and Ms. Mukta Puntambekar of Muktangan were the main speakers of the programme.
“ In this Program, the NGOs working for Child Development participated. This is to Improve the overall Education of the vulnerable group of Children.”
Children of any kind only want love and no child is bad, was the opinion of all the present experts. Gravittus Foundation also felicitated some of the extraordinary NGO workers for all their contribution in social field. Mrs. Usha Kakade, Vice-Chairperson, NIPCCD (National Institute of Public Co-operation & Child Development), New Delhi and Founder, Gravittus Foundation was present for the programme. The total number of NGO’s were 280 who showed there interest in the program.
